2nd time visiting and first time at the upstairs bar with live music, great views, awesome mi tai, wonderful staff and Evan sang and played his guitar beautifully. Great night!!!

Can't get much fresher seafood. The selection is massive. Have then prepare it or take it home.

Rustic charm with a great view... Affordable drinks with amazing live music! Get a Mai Thai or fire chief and keep the awesome glass!

Me ex took me there on our first date 24 years ago for my birthday And it was the best place ever to have a romantic dinner night💕

Seems like a great spot for drinks and apps. Can’t beat the view! But PASS on doing dinner here. Kind of a tourist trap. Overpriced seafood tends to be on the bland side and doesn’t seem as fresh as it ought to be , especially since you are like 100ft from a fish market. Trout was pretty good (ironic because it’s a freshwater fish). Red Snapper two thumbs down! Shrimp cocktail-ehhh. Neither the clam or salmon chowder was worth finishing.

Lovely view but Patrick was totally inattentive. Border line ignoring us. He also charged us for additional drinks we didn't have. Would give it another try but not if he was working. Bad service!

Great service. Our waiter was awesome. Very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. We were one the first groups that came in for dinner, so the restaurant was impeccably clean. Our food was rather quick & delicious. I'd definitely love this place, however the San Carlos location offers some items that aren't available at Tony's on the Pier

I want to say it's been around 25 years since I dined here. The place hasn't changed one bit! Still got the great view of the ocean, still have all the celebrity mug shots on the walls, still have pretty much the same menu and still has all the same wonderful charm! Really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The seafood chairbroiled sampler was great and so was the salmon chowder. We had a nice lunch even though it was balmy on the outside, we we were nice and cozy inside. Take a trip back in time to this lovely restaurant!

We have been going here for 50 years it has really gone downhill. The bar is still great, the food and service terrible. We always treat our out of town guests by going there. Last night it was so bad I was embarrassed. So long Tonys ,we will not be back.

I love this place! So many memories made here! Been a customer for 40 years!

The food was delicious! The View of the ocean was great. And our server Vicky was outstanding!! She made our dining experience a thousand times more enjoyable.

Nice during off season during the week, had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Not somewhere I would bring a little one during peek season or dinner time. Food was good, and paid for what you got. Kids menu is a bit pricey, $12. Meal came with bread for the table too.

Time to close the doors! As a resident for over 40 years, my wife and I decided to vist Old Tony's on the Pier again. Big mistake! First of all we got there about 6:30 on Sunday and 'no' wait! Red flag. I ordered their special 'Mai Tai', worse Mai Tai I have ever tasted. I did not keep their special glass it came in! The food was equal to the Mai Tai, the calamari was okay, a very small portion for a not so smaal a price. My cioppino tasted like 'fishy' fish cooked in ketchup. My wife's crab cakes, over breaded and tasteless. Needless to say, a very disappointing experience.Much better food and experience at Kincaid's or Blue Water Grill. Time to close the doors OldTony's! Ranked # 100 on Yelp! 99 better restaurants!

The food was AWFUL! We actually just left it on our plates and couldn't make it past the first couple of bites. My husband ordered chicken parm - the sauce was more like red water and the chicken was not crusted and really didn't actually seem cooked! I ordered fish and to say that it tasted like frozen fish from a box would actually be an insult to frozen fish! Being on the ocean you certainly expect better! The service was pretty terrible too. The waitress all but forgot about us. It wasn't busy as it was a weekday around 1 - 2 pm. It was just an overall terrible experience. There are too many other restaurants in the area that get it right to waste time or money here.

My family went today 1/25/2020 And had The worst Woman greet us . Horrible woman !!It was my sisters birthday and that is her favorite place to go ! She has been a loyal customer for 50 years + and this Evil woman made our experience absolutely awful! Rude Rude Rude ..Absolutely disappointing! She does not need to be a hostess what so ever !!!!! The food was Not good ! Cheep servings and way over priced ! Staff needs an attitude adjustment!

As fabulous as ever, the greatest place to spend a lazy afternoon. Loved it. Made new friends. Can't ask for more than that! Life is good!

Great location. Great food and friendly and fast service too. Loved it. Definitely a five star restaurant.

Honestly, I wanted Tony's to be a good restaurant. However, from my experience the food was pretty bad. Onion rings look like they were heated up in the microwave then served, and Fish and Chip's was bland and had no seasoning. I had someone else try it and mirror what I said. Even the bread was chewy and felt like it was incorrectly made. The atmosphere also feels very dated in my opinion, and it feels like it is stuck in a different generation. I would suggest that you be careful and possibly find a different restaurant in the Rivera Village.

Haven't been there in 10+ years. View was great, food blah.
Linda Walker
Our waiter was absolutely wonderful. We had Clam and Salmon chowder soup, salad, Salmon, Butterfly Shrimp. Also, scallops and Butterfly Shrimp combination with fully loaded baked potato. Delicious and great atmosphere.

Tony's on the Pier is a classic. This place has quality seafood that is loved by generations and generations of family members! My mother would tell me stories of how she would come here with my father in the 90's! The first time I went to Tony's was in the early 2010's and it was amazing then! Today I went there for Valentine's day with a friend and it did not disappoint! Tony's is the absolute best place to eat food on the Redondo Beach pier and that is a fact! You gotta eat here 10/10 all around!

Been coming here since the 70's whenever It's a special night out I travel the distance, food and atmosphere are great

My friend and I went on the 13th for dinner, the place is real nice and the server was a sweetheart... The food though was horrible! I ordered the fish and chips, the fish tasted like freezer burned fish and wasn't fried all the way, the tartar sauce was disgusting. My friend had the chicken Alfredo, we shared that plate because I was starving and even that wasn't all that good. Needless to say, it was very pricey but I guess what we paid for was the view..

It was ok,But if you go there go up stairs!. the service was much better than down stairs, how ever,I have to say the hostess was delightful, very sweet and helpful. The mytie over rated but not the worst I've ever had worth it for the cute glass. Got 2 to add to my collection. Definitely worth it 😎

A nice old restaurant and bar with good drinks and seafood. The scampi was good as was the service. The views are great, come near sunset.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from a restaurant on the wharf, but it was quite good. Our service was a little slow to start, but once she caught up she was quite pleasant and extremely attentive. Scallops and shrimp, crab cakes, and seared ahi were all excellent. My table mates had “the best baked potato everâ€. Full disclosure, one of them might have been stoned, but the other wasn’t and he agreed. We really enjoyed the food and the view.

First things first, the name says “Old†so don’t expect a modern restaurant. We went here with a party of 8 and had a great meal. Great service staff helping each other out and bringing out food quickly and removing used plates just as fast. We all had a great meal and really enjoyed the food. The restaurant decor is old and charming, but the food is worth it. My wife and I went back the next day in the afternoon and enjoyed drinks upstairs in the circular bar. The view was cool and the bartender was great to talk to. I can’t remember his name, but he’s a Michigan native and we had great time. Even some of the locals were fun. Good place to check out.

Old Tony’s ain’t what it used to be. Gone are the days of the creamy seafood soups that made Tony’s special. The salmon chowder has been replaced by a watery bowl of mystery chunder. The clam chowder, or should I say, sham chowder is reminiscent of a Campbell’s vegetable soup with some clams thrown in, and quartered at that. I wish I could say the experience was a one off! Yet, Sadly its my fourth time of giving them one last chance! Clearly what once was, Is no more...perhaps the recipes are lost at sea. Either way I won’t be back. I will miss the bread and butter and the excellent table staff. I wish the food could support the service 😔ðŸ™ðŸ˜”

Food is good but they should consider a deep cleaning of the place. It smells a little like old people. New furniture wouldn’t hurt either.

Needed to kill some time before a date so I found my way to the pier to explore. Old Tony's seemed like it had the best vantage point on the pier and it is! Ordered a drink and took in the sights. I'll be back for sure.

My father loved Tony’s and came here for years. He passed away this September. We celebrated his memorial service today and came here to honor our Father. Thanks Tony for many years of happiness for our family. Great service. Great food once again â¤ï¸

Decent food and great views up top. They make a fine Mai Tai too. Made for a nice break from fishing or in general if you visit the pier ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Anthony DeCicco
The drinks are quite good here and the view at the top section is well worth it. I was actually surprised on how cheap the Mai Tai with the souvenir glass was. I was expecting it to be expensive but it was not. It's a more middle aged crowd here but pretty fun. I would consider coming back to watch the sunset on a date. The waitress we had was very nice. One thing that surprised me was that there were no drink menus on the top? They should really have those up there for people who are new.
Olive SanJuan
Crunchy, tender, mouth-watering calamari. I'm getting hungry just thinking of it. World class, very hospitable, funny and skilled bartender. He can pull off a Rob Roy the right way. And the view at night makes this the perfect place to grab a late night drink. This place is a Redondo Beach icon.
Scott Fraser
Great dinner again. Our go to place for seafood.

Tony’s has to be one of the most fun bars I have stumbled across in a long time. We sat at the circular bar upstairs and chatted with the bartender and a few locals. The drinks are cheap, the views are fantastic and the ambiance and service is amazing. They played great 70s music, then around 6pm had a guitarist taking requests, with the crowd singing along. Happy hour is $1.50 off all drinks. We had the popcorn shrimp, which was deep fried and tasty, but nothing special. The decor is as if nothing has changed since 1952, and I hope it never does! If you’re in Redondo, you have to go to Tony’s.

Great view, but we go to the restaurant not for a view, but for food! We can enjoy ocean and sunset from the pier. The food was terrible! Despite the fact that I was very hungry I could not eat. Trout was bland, without any taste and like elastic. Even vegetables were inedible! absolute disappointment and dissatisfaction! NEVER COME BACK! I can not pay attention to the old smell in the cafe but not to disgusting food!

Old Tony’s is the BEST! Best classic vibe place left in South Bay. Support them as often and as much as you can - it would be a shame to see another Southbay classic gem like Tony’s fall due to the rising rents charged by the city for Redondo pier leases (shame - the businesses can’t sustain the lease prices that the city now wants). We love Tony’s and will continue the tradition.
Chris Yeschenko
One of the best seafood restaurants of the South Bay. With a good selection of food and a great drink menu, it's a must if you're eating at the Redondo Beach pier! Their portions are also quite generous for the entrees, so come with an appetite!
Sandy Goodpuddns
Nice seafood restaurant right on the cove. We sat on the enclosed deck overlooking the waves. A seagull visited at the window. Good selection of dishes. Special prices of $18.95 for certain dishes between 3 and 6pm so I got the chargrilled seafood combination with shrimp, scallops, swordfish and salmon with smoked salmon chowder, steamed mixed veggies and rice. Normally just rice or veggies but I ordered rice and the staff brought veggies so I got both. My dish regular price is $26. $8 and 9 dollar cocktails.

Tony's is great. Always Fantastic Food and Wonderful Service. You will love it.

Googled seafood restaurant. Got Tony's. Did we ever luck out. Nice location on the water with parking nearby. Great food at very reasonable prices. Plenty of choices on menu. Drinks were reasonable. Kathleen waited on us. She was accurate with our order, friendly, polite, and did a great job.
